A youth doc about kids from the age of 6 working as cod tongue cutters in Northern Norway.
In the northern part of Norway 10-year old Tobias works as a cod tongue cutter. Cod tongues is a delicacy, and cutting them is a job bound by tradition – reserved for the Norwegian youth.
This winter 9-year old city girl Ylva from Oslo will spend her winter vacation in the North, visiting her grandparents to try and learn the art of cutting tongues, just like her mother and grandfather did before her.
During the winter a beautiful friendship between the two kids emerge, as he teaches her how to cut tongues, and they play and talk about the big things in life.
