A fortnight's holiday with pay is now the right of every working person, man or woman, in Denmark. The new holiday law means that existing accommodation is taxed to the limit, and many organisations exist to provide cheap and pleasant holidays. The central Copenhagen office of Folke-Ferie (People's Holiday) is visited - a sort of travel agency supported by the Trade Unions and Co-Operatives. We see what is done for hikers in way of youth hostels, and visit one of the holiday towns on Falster set up by the worker's organisations, where it is possible to hire cheaply a comfortable furnished hut. We see something of a scheme to bring town and country closer together, by which town workers can spend their holidays on farms. The film ends with a plea for easier international travel so that peoples of the world can get to know each other.
