An experimental work starring the director Boeskov himself as a comics illustrator who decides to relinquish his identity and become his cynical, neo-liberal and postmodern alter ego Henrik Höfgren. In the style of »The Yes Men« he develops an ID sniper rifle which can be used to register political dissidents during demonstrations. The gun becomes a hit at the arms trade show in Qatar, and Boeskov's increasing radicalisation leads him further down the slippery slope. Shot on a mobile phone, »Empire North« is a documentary fiction, political critique and a risky social experiment all in one.
