Entertainer Victor Borge presents his country of birth, Denmark, to his american born daughter Frederikke called 'Ricky'. Borge shows her around in Copenhagen and of course a visit in Tivoli is included. They go to Kronborg Castle and Frederiksborg Castle in the north of Sealand, where he with great joy plays the Compenius organ in the chapel of the castle. From there they travel to Spøttrup Castle in Jutland, Torbenfeld Manor on Sealand and Egeskov Castle on Funen. After that they visit the Deer Park North of Copenhagen during the annual hunting event. Then the journey goes to H.C. Andersen's House in Odense and a bike trip on the little island Ærø. In a short intermezzo regarding the Danish culinary heritage, Borge gives the recipe for 'frikadeller' (meat balls) and introduces, how we drink 'snaps' . From here the journey continues to The Old City in Aarhus in the middle of Jutland, where Borge og Ricky visit the old shops in a horse-drawn carriage. At the bakery they buy gingerbread. Proceeding to canoeing on the Silkeborg Lakes and climbing the' mountain' Himmelbjerget the journey ends in Skagen Harbour, the northernmost part of Denmark, where Ricky is introduced to a genuine Danish fish menu.
